you could rent out a school gym….it has ample room to seat your guest list (on the bleachers) for the ceremony(which happens on the game floor in front of the bleachers), and afterwards your guests and groom + bride could make their way to the appointed tables, which are set up behind the curtain that separates the wedding from the reception area!!
Or you could checkout a Movie Theatre if they rent out and hold the wedding on the raised the boards with the guests seated in the seats…. and hold the reception in the lobby with set-up tables, and the food could be prepared ahead of time and served buffet style.
(I like the first thought better, ‘cuz I’ve seen how messy looking a buffet-styled meal can get.)
Check out golf clubs. They usually have a way to have a covered wedding. I’m going to do my wedding at a golf club, and they do have an alternative of a tent if there is rain.
