Well…March is a fantastic time to get married because it’s a down month for weddings. You can do any color, but you might wanna try a touch "springy" since everyone will be tired of winter.
Go to http://www.theknot.com to get some fantastic thoughts for weddings in your area.
I did a wedding a few years back where they did a really cute spring bird theme. They used bird nests as their centerpieces and had small bird cake toppers.
As far as ways to save money, you could do a Friday or Sunday Wedding. Since venues and vendors are less busy those days, they are often willing to make you a deal.
You can still supply alcohol at the reception, but if you’re looking to save money, you could do beer, wine and soda. Some venues allow you to BYOB and you can provide what ever alcohol you want. With this option, you’ll pay for bar setups (juice, soda, mixers, etc).
As for honeymoons, you can go anywhere you want to go. California or Florida for Disney?? A cabin in The Wisconsin Dells? That’s up to the two of you. Go to a travel agent and get some thoughts from them.
What ever you do, I wish you the best of luck!!
summer.
make it summer.
Yes you can still supply alcohol, but you could also do appetizers and a brunch or lunch (way cheaper than dinner!!!) and then people won’t drink as much (since it’s earlier in the day). You would save more that way than by just doing appetizers and still serving alcohol. Alcohol is the major killer in the budget except you are only serving wine/champagne for toasting.
There are tons of fantastic wedding theme colors to pick from…What I did was start looking owing to wedding cakes, flowers, bridesmaid dresses, etc, and naturally you’ll start to narrow down what you like and don’t like and eventually you’ll see a touch you like! A really helpful website you might want to check out is http://www.wedding-trends.info.....oughts.php it’s got tons of tips to alternative out your wedding colors, and money saving tips - http://www.wedding-trends.info.....oughts.php.
As for a fantastic honeymoon location in March…It just depends if you’re looking for warm - Vegas, Florida, Texas, or if you are into winter sports - Colorado, Utah, etc… Excellent Luck on your wedding preparation.
