That sounds very nice to me. Nicer than mine!
Edit: Contrary to what mdsalas says, you DON'T want tall centerpieces. They obscure everyone's view of other people at the table - they have a hard time talking to each other, and some people won't be able to see you and your new hubby at the head table!
Truthfully, people will not notice any difference.
It will lookl gorgeous.
I reckon that sounds BEAUTIFUL! What a wonderful thought!
I thin k they are to small. You will a touch taller to compliment them. They are going to get lost on a table for 6-8 people.
I have some of those lanterns and I like them!
Even if, before your reception, try out the lanterns with candles lit inside. On mine, the tops of the lanterns and the loop handle on top get VERY hot - hot enough to burn. You would reckon that people would be smart enough not to touch a metal thing that has a candle in, but guess what, they're not. I loaned my lanterns to a friend for a birthday party and two people (one adult and one child) burned themselves.
I reckon you have a very excellent concept, and it will blend in very nicely. The reserved tables should stand out a bit. Excellent Luck, and may you have a very pleased , long marriage.
The only addition I would add would be to place small square or round mirrors under the lanterns. This would illuminate the tables even more you could also place a few tealights around them too but otherwise I reckon it's pretty. By adding a colored napkin (in one of your wedding colors) it would also make the tables more visually fascinating.http://www.flickr.com/photos/mishkadesigns/1508342376/in/set-72157602272441021/

In one of the links that bbbarra place up it shows some pictures of the couple scattered on the table. I reckon that would be a really cool addition to the table. Some extra votives would be nice also, but I don't reckon you need anything else. I'm sure everything will turn out perfectly.
The lanterns are a fantastic thought. If you want to gussy them up, maybe there's a place to place silk flowers on them. And having different things on different tables is just fine.
Tables get so full with the place settings, that you really don't need much!
Really, using different decorations on each table is a fantastic thought. My florist said that if you have a single arrangement on every table, it doesn't make the room look as "full" as if you have several preparations, even if they are smaller.
My florist suggested 2-3 preparations of different heights, but I reckon different colors will work well too. It will look very nice. One way to dress it up would be to add a small overlay on the table cloth. Maybe a piece of translucent silver fabric?
Putting a touch special on the padrinos tables is a fantastic way to honor them. You should specifically call them out in the program, too.
