with that amount of money, you can have a fabulous wedding…Do you have Friends that so flowers? I had a friends offer the flowers, my dad paid for the catering, which he picked up and delivered, I found and incredible gorgeous dress for less than 400.0, has my attendant go out together and pick a black dress that suites them, and that they could wear again…The photographer was a gift and the DJ was relatively inexpensive…We had is in an apartment building entertainment room. It really was gorgeous and cost less than 2,000.00…We did not have any help with financing….

Shop around and choose what you want. The largest mistake is trying to please others, It is you day!

There are a few things that you should pay full price for: a photographer, and champagne. One will capture memories and the other will help with less guests going home sickly. Other then that, be creative and savvy on things you can do yourself. For instance, say you want a fantastic looking cake, bake it and have a profession frost it. Make your own focal top pieces, use a local high school band (if you have a excellent program you can get top rate musicians at a very low cost.) Above all have fun and congratulations!

Check the local parks! That might be pretty and inexpensive. Also, maybe you have a friend or relative or a friend of a relative that has a nice back yard that you can set up the reception at. Also, you do not have to supply a meal, plot the wedding around a meal so that all you have to do is snack foods! Or maybe meat and cheese trays from the local grocery deli. Also, grocery bakery’s usually have nice wedding cakes for cheaper than a bakery. Just some thoughts. Hope it helps.

lol… we are doing it for under 2,000.
    1 dress 400.00
    1 tux rental…100.00
preacher in front of a mountian waterfall 100.00
condo for three days next to waterfall…500.00
from there to a beach few hundred……and so on……..
when we come home we will use the saved money to delight in our new life together…….

Hire a photographer only for a few hours, not the whole day, take all your shots before the wedding (if you don’t mind being seen in your dress before hand). Invite less people, and have a larger party a few months after the wedding. Re-use your flowers from your ceremony at your reception. Have a cocktail reception, instead of a full dinner.

Check out theknot.com. EVERYTHING you need (and some stuff you might not have thought about) can be found on that website. They even have wedding preparation and wedding budgeting feature.

You can use silk flowers instead of real ones. You can get a book and make them yourself or you can go to a crafts store like Michaels or Leisure activity Lobby and have them make the preparations for you. They have books for sale, but they will let you look at them and pick out what you like or if you print it off the internet they can usually do it. If you are serving alcohol, instead of having an open bar, place different types of bear and wine on ice. If you are renting a venue where you dont have to use their catering service you and your family can do the food trays. Fruits, veggies, crackers, meat & cheese, small smokies, wings, chicken or beef kabobs. You can find a lot of websites for party favors that are inexpensive. You can get wrappers with your names and wedding date that you can apply to hershey’s miniatures, you can wrap candy in colored cellophane or netting and tie with a ribbon that matches the colors of your wedding. Congrats.

My dress has never been worn and it is on ebay for 900.00 and i bought it for4 29.95! on ebay

You could just have a small intimate wedding inviting only accurate friends and family and therefore the cots will be down as the number of guests would be smaller. Or you could chose to have a buffet reception rather than a three course wedding breakfast as this can save money as well as providing more choice for guests over food. Another way to save money would be to hold only one party - i.e a reception that lasts all night instead of having two venues. So if you were to have a late wedding you could just hold the wedding reception and the after party at the same venue.

You can also save money by buying bridesmaid dresses from normal clothing stores instead of buying actual bridesmaid dresses form marriage stores as these can be more expensive. As for flowers keeping centrepieces small and simple will undoubtedly save money.

    Excellent luck.
