You should go to theknot.com. They have loads of info and ideas for cakes, dresses, and music.
For the music, do you have an iPod? Its going to be easier if you do. Youll have to rent some iPod-compatible speakers. Do a trial run a few days before to make sure everything works. The music is a big responsibility, so make a list of things you need and it should go smoothly.
Speech: short and sweet is best. Just speak from your heart, and practice a bit beforehand.
About being a MOH, just be supportive to you mom and get her input on dress colors, etc, after all its her wedding!
    Definitely go to theknot.com.

while doing all of that….don’t forget to breathe. Make sure to take time for yourself, it’s going to be an emotional day for you. The more stressed out you get the more emotional you are going to get as well. Its very nice that you are taking all of this one. Dont forget to take care of you too!!!

jump on google and check out the bakeries/cake makers in your area and see if they can send you some catalogues or whether they have them online
that or just look up cake ideas on google…what kind of theme is your mum having?
remember you can look at cakes and change them like colours and decorations if you like the shape of the cake for example…

dj-ing…well you can start by looking at what music you have…you can then either download some stuff or go someone and buy some nice wedding type music (which can be anything these days) you can chuck it all on your Mp3 player or burn a whole bunch of Mp3 cds…find out what kind sound system the venue has and see how you can attach what you have to it…
