For the music, do you have an iPod? Its going to be simpler if you do. Youll have to rent some iPod-compatible speakers. Do a trial run a few days before to make sure everything works. The music is a huge responsibility, so make a list of things you need and it should go smoothly.
Speech: small and sweet is best. Just speak from your heart, and do a bit beforehand.
About being a MOH, just be encouraging to you mom and get her input on dress colors, etc, after all its her wedding!

dj-ing…well you can start by looking at what music you have…you can then either download some stuff or go someone and buy some nice wedding type music (which can be anything these days) you can chuck it all on your Mp3 player or burn a whole bunch of Mp3 cds…find out what kind sound system the venue has and see how you can attach what you have to it…
