I’m currently in my junior year of high school and have already decided on a career in events and/or wedding planning. I’ve done previous internships outside of the event planning field and am now interested in finding an internship that can help me get my career started and begin making myself known. However, every time I try looking, I always find the ones for college students. Are there ANY wedding or event planning internships in the New York City area for high schoolers?

I would try contacting individual planners to see if they would like someone to shadow them. However, a lot of them probably will not want to train their future competition if you would not be planning on working under them. Otherwise, I would just wait until college. Planners with college degrees get paid more and are taken more seriously anyway
i would actually check with college professors who teach wedding planning. you can take an evening course, as well as possibly get some referrals for prospective interships.
