Sο, mу cousin іѕ getting married. Sһе’s kind οf… flighty (airhead, etc) ѕο mοѕt οf tһе preparation һаԁ landed οח mу shoulders. Wһісһ I really don’t mind аt all, аחԁ I’m enjoying tһе tһουɡһt. Sһе’s set tһе date fοr March 1st. Sһе wаחtѕ a really simple wedding, аחԁ tһеrе’s doubtless going tο bе аbουt 50 people tһеrе. It’s happening еіtһеr аt a secluded spot οח tһе beach, οr аt ουr friends back-yard (depends οח tһе weather). Tһе reception іѕ taking рƖасе аt a hall tһаt wе′ve already rented fοr tһе weekend. Dresses, flowers, suits, hair аחԁ mаkе-up, decorations, chairs аחԁ tables, tһе guy wһο’s marrying tһеm, cake, catering, limos, DJ, аrе all sorted out аחԁ delt wіtһ. Iѕ tһеrе anything more I need tο ԁο? Tһіѕ іѕ mу first time preparation… ѕο I’m חοt sure wһаt all іѕ needed. Am I done? Anything еƖѕе I’m forgetting?

    How about a photographer?

Is you cousin registered anywhere? Typically engaged couples register some where so people can easily pick out a wedding gift for the couple. JCPenny, Target, WalMart and BedBath&Beyond are excellent places to register.

I wish you could help me! I am meeting my guy at Starbucks and then going to the local courthouse so instead of a lunch date we are having a lunch wedding. Got the dress at Target for 39.99 and wearing flip-flops. So hey did they get the marriage ticket at the courthouse. Usually you have to get one for the minister to sign. What a fantastic cousin you are.

I can only reckon of a couple of things which you did not mention.

Both the bride and groom should bestow small gifts to their attendants.

Is there going to be a guest book? If so, where will it be located, and is someone going to sit with it and greet people, or is it just going to be in an obvious place by the entrance to the reception.

What are they cutting the cake with? You’ll want to either rent a nice knife from the caterer (and maybe you already have), or buy one from someplace.

Are they registered for gifts someplace? If not, they really should consider registering, and if they are, you should include a note about where they are registered in the invitations (if they haven’t already gone out). If the invites have gone out, and there was no mention of where they are registered, just have the marriage party spread the news by word of mouth.

That’s all I can reckon of! Sounds like you have it all under control.

I hope it all goes off perfectly.

Dont forget the rehearsal dinner. The others are pretty much discretionary…like Party Favors, Hotel reservations.

Also don’t forget to get a touch for the bride to keep occupied while awaiting the final moment. I hear the Wii is a fantastic game system to have…relieves stress and relaxes the nerves…

If this is your first wedding plotted…it won’t be perfect…but just as you did now…don’t be worried to question more questions.

The bachlorette party! Don’t forget the guest book! I forgot all about it at mine and be sure the bride and groom pack a bag for their hotel stay. My hubby and I went to our hotel and realized we had no clothes for the next day so we just went home and I cried.

okay, so this may have been mentioned, but here it goes

    photographer/vidographer

the marraige licence (see if a blood test is required and how soon they can get it. where i am it is excellent for a month and no blood test (AL))

    guest book

favors (get a touch local if you are having alot of out of town guests–i’m doing apple butter in small mason jars!)

place the girls are going to get ready (often overlooked!) make sure it is a room with lots of space

reckon about the preparation for the actual ceremony for each place (at the beach, or the friends house) such as where the wedding party will walk from, where the ceremony will take place (actual place they will stand) ect

    Hi. You are doing fantastic!

    ~ What about a photographer?
~ She and the groom will need to go and get the marriage ticket.
~ With the catering…is that beverages also?
~ Do you need to bring in tableware (plates, cups, napkins, linens?) or will the catering company do that? A touch to check on.
~ Are you doing any centerpieces for the tables?
    ~ Guest book?
    ~ Rehearsal dinner?
~ She and the groom need to buy gifts for the attendants.
