The wedding planner has a very tough job.
It involves dealing with diverse groups of people ( in-laws, the couple, friends, musicians, caterer, bridesmaids, minister, etc ) all of whom have their own thoughts as to what they want.
It is a small like trying to mediate a family quarrel where several family members are caught up, at high levels of emotion and impatience. And if you fail they ALL turn on you as the fault.
For the most part, the wedding planner works under high levels of expectations, high levels of deadlines, generally ungrateful people, and does not get paid that much.
It is not a career I would voluntarily take. people get burned out quickly.
Wedding preparation is all about being the planner (as the name implies) to make sure that weddings come out perfect. I used to work at a major cruise line, and worked aptly next to the wedding preparation specialty, so I know how hectic, but yet worthwhile it can be. Any dissatisfactions, and you won’t be referred, and this is key in this affair.
