Go with a 7pm dinner and party til midnight. Also, figure out if there is a cool bar/club within walking distance and make a mental note of it, if the party is still kicking at midnight bring them there. Bonus Exercise: Give the bar a call beforehand and let them know u might be rolling deep.

    Congrats by the way, Alex

I’d say 6-7. That way people aren’t too tired to drive home.

It’s your wedding do what you want. If people are telling you that 6ish is the aptly time to eat. I suggest you have small sandwiches, or meat and cheese trays to tide people over that may be hungry. I have been to alot of weddings with the sandwich and trays. it works really well.

It depends on ceremony time and how formal it is. I would just say have dinner at 7 to 7:30 and that still gives plenty of time to dance

You want to cater to the people you are inviting, even if. Alot of people will not eat late. You can always have an after party, my son did that. Just have someone host it at their house or go to a local club. Maybe make dinner about 7 and it evens out. It is your wedding day. Have a blast and bless you.

You can start the reception whenever you want as long as you don’t have a gap between the ceremony and reception. Not everyone is used to intake a full dinner at 8:30pm and a number of venues require that you be out of there between 11 and 12.

Why don’t you have the dinner together with the dance party at the same time? I would say 8p.m. Young guests can stay behind for the dance even after 11p.m.
