http://www.mrsweddingfavors.co.....27-72.html This is my favorite plantable favor. It comes in several top styles to choose from. They work with nearly any theme and are sure to add that special touch to your tables.

Since today is Earth Day, this eco-forthcoming favor tops my list.

never underestimate the dollar store! you can get the aptly paper and stickers and ribbon and practically everything you need. also be on the lookout for warehouse craft stores that may have small packets pre-made for really cheap and you can personalize them by tying on your names and the date of the wedding.

I like that I thought too! I was even thinking of using small seedings maybe.

Add wildflower seeds to homemade recycled paper. (Add the seeds to the paper pulp. Do not do the glue bath, or iron it)

After you dry the paper, print anything you want on it (Make our like bloom– or a touch like that. Then cut the paper out into hearts.

Give instructions that the paper hearts should be planted and watered.

In the most recent Martha Stewart magazine, she made pretty DIY tea bag gifts which I reckon you could alter to be seeds. You could buy an array of wild flower seeds, wrap them in a bit of cheese cloth, tie with a string & hang a pretty punched shape from the string or maybe a tag with planting instructions. I checked the website, but didn’t find it up yet, check the magazine next time you’re at the market (May come forth, pg 46).

I did find this link to companies that offer eco forthcoming gifts & favors:

Are you talking about small packets of seeds? Nice thought, but I suspect that most of them will either be left behind or thrown into the rubbish.

Why have favors at all? The thought that anyone is going to be judging your taste and creativity based on your choice of favors is a silly myth promoted by The Wedding Industry to get people to buy silly things like small tulle bags and tiny silver buckets and cheap candy in expensive custom wrappings. The fact is that most people don’t even notice whether or not you have favors.

I LOVE the thought of flower seeds for favors. I saw them on a site not too long ago and thought it was such a cute thought. Honestly, it might be cheaper and simpler if you were to buy them rather than making them. The ones I saw were about $1 a piece. Like others said even if, check the Dollar store first for materials. Here are a few favors I saw…

The dollar store & check there often! They get a lot of different merchandise randomly every time they get a shipment. Also Oriental Trading.com has a lot of stuff you might be able to use for containers. They sell in bulk and CHEAP! Also look at Leisure activity Lobby &/or Micheal’s.

I like your thought! Congratulations on the wedding and excellent luck!
