Why don’t you try small things first like a small ceremony for friends or family and either do it for free or charge a small amount so that you can build a portfolio and get some word of mouth out. Place up fliers around town in spots like stores, get a myspace page and make known it, do some work for organizations like church, clubs, etc. and get the word out like that. You may not do huge weddings at first but if people see you do nice work they will want to hire you.
