couples typically start preparation a year in advance. it helps to make sure you’re not in succession around like a chicken with it’s head cut off at the last small. :)

it really is all up to you. if you want to get some of it out of the way then do it. gives you less to do later when the day is closer. i started preparation a year before. if you have that photographer that you just dreamed of having then get him now so he/she does not get booked up.

When we got married we got engaged in June & was married in April of the following year. I started preparation aptly away.

We started preparation a week after we got engaged, since we wanted to be married in a year. Since you know approximately when you want to get married next year, why not start booking things now, like your reception site?

Here is a website with a checklist on what to do each month.

My fiancĂ© proposed to me 2 weeks ago and we are preparation to have our wedding same as you, August 2010, while putting a part of our checks in savings every month. We are just really excited even if, so we have been checking out different places. Our main goal now is to find a place and book a date. The rest of the preparation will doubtless start this coming summer, when it’s about a year until the wedding.
