most people do one per table - and you might consider less, since you are having a huge wedding. Lots of people take "goofy pics" anyway - so consider what you will get & the cost of developing all of them too. You will toss a lot of the pics (I know I did)

    We did one per table.

    Way too many!!

Buy aprox 15/ but instead of leaving them on tables,
give them to people you know will take nice pictures.
Other way you will get so many wasteful pics and spend
    way to much money!

A wedding I went to had one camera per table - it seemed to do the trick. You would then have 30 cameras and that is half as expensive. Two cameras seem too much as the camera would be focused on the table - how many pictures can you take of 10 people? It’s a fantastic thought - one per table will be fine.

I reckon 30 would be excellent.Thats alot of pics if you go with 60.Congrats.

I’ve never heard of disposable cameras at a wedding.

Seeing as a professional would cost a lot more you shouldn’t worry about the cost.

    This wedding only happens once.

Just get one camera per table

Usually guests are too busy dancing and mingling that they forget to take pictures…

If you have a DJ see if they have those huge screens to place up the pictures that they take or the cameraman takes…we do that for all our parties, and then we get to keep the pictures after!

one per table would be plenty i reckon. between the disposables and the ones that everyone will personally take will be more that enough pics to remember your bug day.

Oh, how fun! We had 15 tables at our wedding with 2 cameras for each table. I know we took them to Walmart for processing and it was about 210.00-250.00 dollars. It was well worth it! Have fun it’s only one time in your life!

Hi, I would buy one camera for each table. Be prepared that there will be left over pics that were not taken on the camera or weird pics if young family get a hold of them.

A clean way to get different pics during the night is to attach a scavenger hunt card to each camera. They are simple to make, just type in word and set it next to the camera.

Table A has to take pics of the youngest guest, the cake, the mother of the bride.

Table B has to take pics of the bride & groom kissing, everyone at their table etc.

Hope this helps and congrat’s on your wedding

You only need one per table. Two per table is way too many.
My friends used disposable cameras and there were a lot of really dumb pictures on the cameras. There were a lot of "mooning pictures". There were also a lot of pics of the girlfriend or boyfriend of the person who took possession of the camera. And some had only one or two pics on them.

Have your DJ announce that you want everyone at the table to take turns taking wedding candids so you have them after the wedding. Place someone in charge of checking the cameras periodically during the reception. Some cameras will be full, others will only have a couple of snaps on them. Pick up the full ones, encourage the ones with only a few snaps on them to get used. That way you won’t have to pay for only a few pictures instead of a full roll of pictures.

    Congrats & have fun!!

    Hi,
this is Sophie and I am a wedding planner at http://www.myweddingtoolkit.com
The answer to the question is usually one per table.
There is huge problem with the disposable cameras, and I never suggest any bride to do so! Here is why:
if the illumination are not brighte enough, or the camera has a poor quality, (and they usually have) your pictures will turn out terrible.
If you want a similar alternative, get a small sign on the table in a pretty pictureframe, asking your guests to take as many pictures as they can with their digital, and please burn it on a CD and send it to you.
These days everybody has digital and everybody is using it as well.
I reckon disposable cameras are outdated, expensive and worthless.
Hope it helped. Should you have any further questions regarding wedding preparation, please feel free to contact me!

One camera per table should be enough. You may find a lot of pictures that are wonderful candid shots, but you may also get a lot of terrible pictures.

    Excellent luck!

I reckon one camera per table is plenty. If ten developed people can’t share a camera, we’ve got problems, LOL.

I’m doing disposable cameras too, one per table, but my wedding’s going to be tiny compared to yours- only about 60-75 guests. : )

My friend had the disposable cameras for her wedding. She used one per table. Some of them had full pics used some did’nt. People get the camra and start snaping them at the dinner they never last till the dance part. You dont want to use 2 camras because its way too much money to develop also people get board of the camra’s and you’ll have one camra to the max the other one might have 5! One camra is plenty.

At my brothers wedding, we did two per table, with eight people at a table (i dont remember how many tables, as this was about 8 years ago) we got back some weird pictures… like pictures of people taking pictures of themselves and pictures of things we had no clue what was in them…
I like the thought of putting disposable cameras at the tables, but maybe when getting them developed I would only get single pictures instead of doubles, then it may not be as expensive and then you can always make copies of the excellent ones if you want more than one copy.

  17. LimeGreen84 says:

my cousin did this…she had one camera at each table with a note saying a touch like pass the camera around the table or a touch…if you want alot of pictures maybe give everyone in the marriage party a camera along with their gift…or just question people to bring their digital cameras and have everyone make a cd for you with the pics on it.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

1 per table is usually enough!

  19. MelB says:

One per table is more than enough. I did disposables for my wedding last year and here are a few things I learned:

    1. Buy a name brand excellent quality disposable camera. I bought mine online, mainly b/c they were a pale green that matched my wedding colors. Huge mistake. Several of them didn’t work at all and the quality of the photos was terrible! I didn’t save any $$ on the no-name brand cameras either.

    2. Some tables used up all the pictures, others took one or two only (out of a 25 exposure camera). You pay for developing the entire camera, no matter how many pics are taken (or not taken). This is why I say one per table is plenty.

    3. If it doesn’t come with a small instruction card, make them yourself so guests know they are to leave the cameras ON the table when they leave and not take them with them. It didn’t happen at my own wedding, but at a friends, several guest thought the cameras were theirs to take. If it helps at all here is what our small tented cards said (placed next to the cameras of course):

Help us capture our memories! Please use the camera on the table to take candid pictures of all our friends and family…the fun, the special moments, and of course those not to be forgotten shots. Pass the camera around, let everyone delight in the fun. When all the pictures are taken, just leave the camera on the table.

I reckon we had 27 or so tables and got all the cameras back in the end. What was disappointing was the quality kinda sucked, and it wasn’t anyones fault, it was just a crummy no name camera.
