I wanted to add that I agree with the poster below about marrying on an odd day- we are getting married on a Thursday and it has saved me at least a thousand dollars.
go to the library and/or quest online. When is the wedding? how huge? make it special to the both of you. simple is best and more elegant. There are chapels to rent, someones home, your church? Pick a couple of colors and go with that. You don't have to have fancy smancy stuff. Look on Ebay for favors and such Best of Luck!!!
certainly check out the knot as listed above, especially the local boards for local vendor recommendations, etc. There are also lots of fantastic books online or at your local bookstore for budget conscious brides, but I can't reckon of titles off hand.
