    "One Like," Midwest City
This lovely song by a effectively unknown quartet from Oklahoma epitomizes what a fantastic wedding song is.
"Spend My Life with You," Eric Benét & Tamia
Eric Benét, who’s the ex-husband of Halle Berry, may have distress holding onto a woman once he marries her, but this song shows exactly how he’s able to get women to marry him in the first place.

"Ribbon in the Sky," Stevie Wonder
One of the most gorgeous, romantic songs of all time. I usually don’t weep at weddings — except this song is played.

    "Back At One," Brian McKnight
This is another one of those songs that’s considered melodramatic out in the real world, but within the setting of a wedding party, it fits in as naturally as a bouquet of flowers. This should be played during a slow dance at a wedding reception.

"On Bended Knee," Boyz II Men
This song may be a small sappy and a tad bit too melodramatic, but when it comes to bringing tears to a woman’s eyes during a wedding party, few songs can do it better than "On Bended Knee."

    "Never," Jaheim
Album cover © Atlantic Minutes. This song, which is on Jaheim’s fourth album, The Makings of a Man, is about a man who stops being a player and settles down with his one right like.

    "Let’s Get Married," Serrated Edge
Other than the chorus, which has a lame "we ain’t gettin’ no younger, we might as well do it," rationale for the marriage proposal, this is a very well-sung, sentimental like song.

    "Forever My Lady," Jodeci
Maybe the best song Jodeci ever recorded. As the song’s lyrics indicate, this is the perfect tune for the bride-to-be who’s already expecting a child.

    Here and Now," Luther Vandross
A classic wedding song by a classic vocalist. R.I.P. Luther.

"Be Without You," Mary J. Blige
This chart-topping song, which was released in November 2005, is on Mary’s The Breakthough album. Among the things that make it so fantastic are the strong sentiments of faith and loyalty expressed, as well as the unbelievably strong vocals.

    "One Like," Midwest City
On "One Like," Midwest City, a four-man vocal group from Oklahoma discussion like, marriage and loyalty: Owing to the storm, owing to the rain, owing to the sun, we remain one like," they sing.

"Like, Need and Want You," Patti Labelle
The title pretty much says it all. You can stream the song by clicking on the link below.

"Like is Stronger Than Pride," Sade
If you’ve ever found yourself unable to stop loving someone even after their actions have given you excellent reason to stop, you can relate to this song. This song is for everyone who has at least once in their life thought with their heart instead of their mind. Like really is stronger than pride sometimes.

    "Valentine," Lloyd
Valentine" is the fourth single off Lloyd’s second album, Street Like, which came out March 13, 2007 on Sho-Nuff/Universal Minutes. This smooth, serene and sultry song is an example of the right sound of young like.

    "Like T.K.O.," Teddy Pendergrass
Wait a small - did I say in the intro that none of these songs contained drama? Well, I stand corrected. "Like TKO" is about how sometimes like beats you down when you try to battle it. Other singers, counting Regina Belle and Hall & Oates, have also recorded versions of this song, but the Pendergrass version is head and shoulders above the rest.

    Sweet Like," Anita Baker
What more can be said about this song that hasn’t been saide for nearly 20 years now? It’s a classic - and classy - example of some ot the best music R&B has to offer.

    "I’m Gonna Be," Donell Jones
This song is not only about like, but about devotion, as well. Or as Donell sings it: "Every night I’m treatin’ you aptly ’cause our chemistry is a mystery/To everyone lookin from outside, cause they want what we have/When I look aptly in your eyes, I see your soul and I’m the mate, baby/If you down you got me for life, ’cause I really like you girl."

    "Crazy Like," Brian McKnight
Although this song is sung really well, it’s really the amazingly poetic lyrics that are the highlight. A sample: "I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles, And the heavens open up every time she smiles, And when I come home to her that’s where I belong, Yet I’m in succession to her like a river’s song." "Crazy Like" was really written and first recorded by rock-pop artist Van Morrison.

    Forever in My Life," Prince
Prince is a master of ballads and this song is one of his best. On "Forever in My Life," the Purple One proposes marriage in his own unique way: "I never imagined that like would rain on me, And make me want 2 settle down, Baby it’s right, I reckon I do, And I just wanna tell U that I wanna with U."
