Just a word of advice from someone who has been there:
Do NOT cheap out on one of 2 things: the photographer, and the videographer.
You will unhappiness it. Sure, it’s cheaper. But you get what you pay for. I cheaped out on my wedding pictures and they all sucked. Largest unhappiness of the entire wedding. I can’t even look at them without gettng really fuming.
sure as long as they are a film student or a touch like that. Question to see some of their work b4 you book it.
I have seen many amateur videos that were fantastic! And a lot less expensive!
Sounds excellent for saving money; even if, question to see some of their previous work. In addition, I’m assuming that a college student is doing this independently for extra money/experience. As a result, they may not have the aptly kind of tools in the long run. In addition, what happens if a touch goes incorrect. A college kid is not going to be like a professional affair if you need a refund or compensation if your video is not to your standards.
Call the college & see if any of the film kids would be attracted. They will jump at the chance for the experience and tor their portfolio. (Might even be able to use it as a class project.)
Place up notices where the kids hang out.
My DiL’s father used his camera to video of their wedding. Isn’t top quality, but it’s not terrible. We all have a copy & I slip it in the DVD player if I get stuck & need inspiration writing a ceremony.
