That’s what we did. The ceremony will be very small and the wedding party very small (no moms to be walked up and seated, just a maid of honor), so he’s playing just one or two songs as the guests gather (they will all arive at the same time on a tram), a processional and a recessional. There is no need for music during the ceremony as it is only an exchange of vows–no readings, unity candle or other rituals. He chose to do the ceremony at no extra charge since there is so small music in it. It won’t hurt to question yours, too!

Of course you can! But, why don’t you get a stereo and make a mixed CD of songs that you like to play while guests are arriving. Have someone man the stereo so that when you’re about to walk out, he/she can place on the song that you’ve chosen to walk to. My friend did this and it saved a LOT of money instead of having the reception DJ come to the ceremony. They’ll do pretty much the exact same thing but it will cost a lot of money!

I’m sure you can but the person you should be asking is the DJ. I know ours gave the option to play during the ceremony if we wanted him to.

Yesssss, first off question the DJ to make sure its cool because some DJ’s will only do reception only they place it in the contract so make sure you read it if there is one. Luckily for me, mine does ceremony and reception music. I already have my ceremony music picked out for when I walk and when everyone else walks. Of course but be sure to question them.

I guess u can but make sure it isnt like rock or hard metal stuff have him pick some nice romantic music for the wedding part of the ceremony. i dont reckon u want to come down to billy idols white wedding song . but see if he has any like songs or what ever u want to walk down too and see if u have to pay extra for the dj to do it. excellent luck and god bless your new marriage.

Most mobile disc jockeys will be more than pleased to provide the music for your ceremony and reception both. Here are some things you need to consider that will generally effect pricing. If your ceremony and reception are at the same facility and resonablly accurate together there will usually be small to no extra cost depending on which DJ you brilliant. If your event is in two seperate locations the DJ will have to either tear down, go and set up a part of his equipment after the ceremony or use another set of equipment. Alot of times that is where your extra cost comes from. First and foremost talk with your DJ. As a rule if a person gets to know you they will give you a break. This isnt always the case but it doesnt hurt. Also disc jockeys go to alot of receptions so they see alot of different things, get thoughts and talk to other vendors. Use that to your benefit. I hope you have a fantastic wedding and a wonderful life together!
