    Greetings,

Looks like you have left plenty of time to find a Videographer. This is excellent. I have listed two websites below that should help.

It looks like you have made the choice to have a wedding Videographer. This is a excellent choice. Sometimes wedding Videographers get the small end of the stick when the budget gets tightened. This is a mistake.

Look for a professional Videographer. The work that they are able to do these days is incredible! Don’t worry about your "terrible moments" on the day of the wedding. Just because it gets onto the tape of the Videographer don’t mean that’s what will end up in the final project. The professionals really know what to do when it comes to editing the event. You will like it.

Try to avoid having a relative take over the video taping. Having your uncle Bob confirmation is a nice thing for him to do, but trust me, the quality will not be the same. (We had two "uncle Bob’s" and no Videographer - I wish I could go back in time!! It was 1996.)

I few tips when quest for a Videographer:

    - Make sure you question the person you are talking to is the person who will be recording the wedding.

    - Make sure you reckon forward: Do you have a High Def TV? You will want 16:9 format aptly now, in the future, can the Videographer save the DV "project" in HDV format and burn a HD disk in a few years when the HD battle settles down?

    - Will you have a contract with the Videographer? (That is a excellent thing as it will protect you and the Videographer - Look over the contract to make sure its what you as a consumer expect.)

    - Will there be light on the camcorder? A touch to reckon about is the lighting. Grown-up (and larger) camcorders require extra lighting. While this is not always a terrible thing, it is a touch you need to expect if they need lighting for excellent image quality.

    - If you price of the Video is low, may red flags bring to somebody’s attention in your head. Quite often you can find a DJ/Video outfit that can confirmation you wedding for like $1000 or a touch. Proceed with caution and make sure you question the above question about the person you are talking to doing the recording.

    - Question to see a Wedding DVD example. And question for a few references. You have time and no profession Videographer has any problems with showing their work or giving a lot of references!

OK… Enough for now. Congratulations about getting married.

    Jeff…

Oh, and don’t forget to ENJOY your pleased day!
