I made on last week and man was it a pain, LOL. 3 layers and the bottom was a 14" round cake pan. Was huge.

Remember to make sure you have EVERYTHING to make it in advance! We didn’t and had to go to the store 2 more times.

Another thing is to get a rotating plate so that you can decorate the cake, it’s a pain if you don’t have one.

Also we made butter cream flowers and royal icing flowers. Make absolute sure you make them several days in advance! You will need a butt load of do to get them aptly.

As for us using the huge cake pans well we have to nearly make a twaddle batch of the cake mixes (making home made chocolate and vanilla) for the bottom one alone and a double batch for the vanilla.

Anyhow, excellent luck! You will need it, hehehehehehe.

Use dowel rods to hold the cake up, use a spatula to place the layers on top of each other. Give yourself lots of time, you don’t want to rush the decorating!! Also, draw out your plot ahead of time so you know what you want the final product to look like. Excellent luck!!!

First you get the recipe from a couple of friends and enlist their help. Next you want a excellent decorator, and I hear the best place to find one is the other side of the Washington join in NYC.

My understanding is he will meet you with your supplies.
    LOL!

there’s so many things i could say, but the most vital is to be patient! it’s your first cake so it’s going to take quite a bit of time since it’s new to you. and try not to get frustrated because that just makes things worse.
    excellent luck!
