I’m sure it’s possible to get everything together 6 or so months, but many wedding planning gurus seem to recommend at least 12 months now. We’ll likely be doing something that I feel is smaller than the norm with about 30-40 guests.

There is already a percentage tip in the contract of 18% but a tip on top of that to the Maitre’ D is encouraged. My future father in law is saying that I am responsible for paying that tip and I am just curious if I actually am or if it really resides with him [...]
